Unlike other artistic mediums, fashion has remained a relevant concept in society for centuries. As far as the feminine aspect (to which I could share some knowledge), women tend to find pleasure in adorning themselves in accessories and ornate garments. While this may not exactly be the case for everyone, there are a number of us who express a deep interest in the world surrounding clothes. It allows a woman to express herself, showcase her personality through various colors, styles, and trends. In doing so however, a woman’s purpose may not only be to simply improve her appearance; She may participate in the movement to make a statement; A woman, such as myself.
Throughout my years as an adolescent, fashion has served as a means for me to develop a personality. With time, I learned that I personally gravitate towards ‘edgy’ styles of clothing. Baggy sweatshirts, oversized jackets, ripped jeans, graphic tees, you could say are my niche. Supermodels Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and TV personality Kim Kardashian, are among those who inspire my sense of dress. The celebrities mentioned are also considered to be icons of ‘Street Style’, which brings me to the subject of this blog. With my readers, I hope to share the inside scoop on all things contemporary fashion; More specifically, streetwear catered towards the youth culture. On this platform you’ll find the latest trends, tips and tricks, and reviews of celebrity looks gone viral. In sharing my perspectives with the public, I aspire to encourage others to invest in street style in their personal closets. It is among the many fashion trends which cater to people of all ages and walks of life. In acquiring knowledge on this fad, you may see street style through a different lens or even one you may incorporate within your own sense of dress.
