The business of fashion usually circulates around the idea that trends come and go, and therefore brands are likely to suffer. Fortunately, the Bridal Business is a sector of style which may forever deem timeless, as weddings are not exactly a thing of the past.
When it comes to streetwear, the urban fad and bridal do not always coincide. However, fashion is known to adopt many forms, and this is yet another style collab you may stumble upon the runway or high-street shops.
Naeem Khan
Naeem Khan is a designer originally from Mumbai, India but has since migrated his business to the United States. He has been fortunate enough to style illustrious names in politics and pop culture, some of whom include Michelle Obama, Catherine Middleton (Duchess of Cambridge), Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, and many more.
Khan is widely known for his bridal collection, which tends to make its debut at the annual Bridal Fashion Week based in New York City. His designs never shy away from presenting a fashion statement, or moreover, accents of grunge.

The preceding pictures are from a photoshoot set to display Khan’s Fall 2020 Bridal Collection.
A particular fad the models seem to sport in this line include the ‘fringe.’ Fringes are not uncommon to the realm of street style and in fact are quite popular today. The versatility in Khan’s collection is also evident as he creates both long and short dresses, made to adhere to the personal interest of any bride. Finally, he pairs the dresses with statement pieces, whether they may be for the ears or head, it provides a unique approach to Khan’s designs.
Claire Pettibone
Claire Pettibone is an American Fashion Designer whose label is based in the city of Los Angeles. Her designs are known to be considered both free-spirited and egdy as she uses lace and tattoo appliqué on a number of her dresses.
Pettibone has been cited by ‘The Los Angeles Times’ as a “Style Maven”- a connoisseur of bridal couture.

In her Fall 2020 Bridal Collection, it is evident that Pettibone incorporates florals in her designs. She uses the pattern to allude to a more contemporary aesthetic. She has the same objective with the sheer shrug, in addition to the trumpet sleeves sewed on to various dresses.
Joanna Johnson
While from New Zealand, Joanna Johnson and her renowned brand are currently based in Australia. Her designs have been sported by a number of celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep, Kendall Jenner, and others.
Compared to other brands, Johnson takes a unique approach in her dresses as she uses colors that do not exactly qualify as traditional.

As one could tell, Johnson’s 2015 Bridal Collection was made in effort to emulate Spring Couture in the 1920s, otherwise known as the ‘Roaring 20s.’
The designer was inspired by metallics and urban apparel when making her line, in fact the decadent scarves and luminous headpieces attest to this notion.
With the approach of one of fashion’s most coveted seasons, pastels are in full bloom alongside the occasional April shower and cherished May flower.
Lilac, Baby Blue, Mint Green, and Peach are among the several shades women tend to gravitate towards in the Spring as the sunshine and clear skies make for an upbeat wardrobe.
In this particular look, a woman opts for a fitted long sleeve lilac henley to be paired with pistachio green trousers. As there are small accents of green on the shirt, the garments tend to compliment each other well.

For some, pairing pastels with one other may be considered slightly excessive. This distinct ensemble displays the versatility that can be associated with lighter colors.
The model pairs a lemon yellow polo with other muted garb. The earthy tones evident in both the flannel shirt and jeans allow the pastel hues to be of highlight.
Running steady with the pastel theme, this light green peasant top is quite the addition.
The palette of this particular top is centered around shades of white, green, and yellow, keeping in fine tune with nature during the season.

Sweatsuits are an immense source of both comfort and style. As the material made from the garment is quite light and airy, it is considered a staple in both Fall and Spring.
The model opts for a soft Baby Blue shade, paired with classic white tennis shoes to resemble an athleisure look.
Along with pastel, Tie-Dye is yet another trend on the come up. For this reason, seeing the pair this fashion season wouldn’t exactly be uncommon.
In this picture, the model sports an oversized tye-dye sweatshirt enhanced with splashes of peach and a subtle pink base.
The garment can be worn with a timeless blue jean or perhaps a snug set of joggers.

With an increase in temperature, comes the reduced need for layering, and those same layers becoming essential pieces for a practical spring/summer look.
Analogous to crewnecks and hoodies in the fall, are oversized t-shirts in the spring. The model in this image is seen in what appears to be a mint muscle-tee dress, complimented by a dainty silver chain and white thigh-high socks.

Unlike other artistic mediums, fashion has remained a relevant concept in society for centuries. As far as the feminine aspect (to which I could share some knowledge), women tend to find pleasure in adorning themselves in accessories and ornate garments. While this may not exactly be the case for everyone, there are a number of us who express a deep interest in the world surrounding clothes. It allows a woman to express herself, showcase her personality through various colors, styles, and trends. In doing so however, a woman’s purpose may not only be to simply improve her appearance; She may participate in the movement to make a statement; A woman, such as myself.
Throughout my years as an adolescent, fashion has served as a means for me to develop a personality. With time, I learned that I personally gravitate towards ‘edgy’ styles of clothing. Baggy sweatshirts, oversized jackets, ripped jeans, graphic tees, you could say are my niche. Supermodels Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and TV personality Kim Kardashian, are among those who inspire my sense of dress. The celebrities mentioned are also considered to be icons of ‘Street Style’, which brings me to the subject of this blog. With my readers, I hope to share the inside scoop on all things contemporary fashion; More specifically, streetwear catered towards the youth culture. On this platform you’ll find the latest trends, tips and tricks, and reviews of celebrity looks gone viral. In sharing my perspectives with the public, I aspire to encourage others to invest in street style in their personal closets. It is among the many fashion trends which cater to people of all ages and walks of life. In acquiring knowledge on this fad, you may see street style through a different lens or even one you may incorporate within your own sense of dress. Whatever the impact may be, I suggest you stick around for the word on the street!

A shrinking violet- no, not a flower short of blooming. But rather, one who refrains from using her voice in addressing concerns that may not align with her beliefs. A shrinking violet, one who may agree with another simply to follow societal norm. A shrinking violet, one who knows right from wrong but chooses to remain quiet in order to be socially accepted. This shrinking violet was once me.
I feared being judged simply because of my personality. Not that it was unusual, but rather because I wanted to shape myself according to what another person would consider likable. For the longest time, I had no individual self.
Frankly, the title of this blog says it best. An American teenager who strives to keep relevant in a world with little consistency. In keeping up with the latest trends, via fashion and the overall course of life I’m hoping to develop a personality and share it with the world. And what better way to do this than voice your opinion regarding things you are most passionate about. With this platform, my goal is to establish a sense of individuality by putting myself out there without having to worry about what people may say. If you are reading this- please bear with me, I am a young writer who is still confused and looking to find her place in the world. In starting this blog, I have begun my journey

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
